This is one of my favorite threads, in part because of the raw "cool" factor of the car but mainly due to the ingenuity of the construction. To make a welded composite component piece; "Lotsa them there straight pieces welded together" (for my redneck brethren:D) look like a cast part really puts it over the top. Keep it coming.

    No kidding Brother,
The craftsmanship displayed on this car really sets it apart from the average buildup.
Some VERY nice engineering and fabrication skills displayed here fellas.
    Keep up the good work!

Ok, I'm working on getting this project rolling again. The Henry J needs attention again, go figure, but that can hold off briefly for me to get a few things done on the coupe.

The body was dropped back on in the spring to make room for the other cars, and while it is still mocked up, I'm messing around with a few things that are not suspension related. One is the headlights. I wasn't set on how they looked before with the other mounts I made, and after some thinking I realized how much strength the headlight bar adds to the structure of the front fenders. So the coupe will get a headlight bar. I drilled the brace holes in the fenders as a baseline for final mounting locations for the bar and traded my headlight mounts to a friend for an uncut model A bar. The ones I had made will work perfect for my friend's fenderless A sedan.

I was surfing ebay and stumbled on an unidentified headlight bar. I struck a deal with the seller and mocked the mounts up on the car. After some digging, I have identified them as 1927 Buick headlight mounts. I am unsure yet on whether I will modify the Buick mounts to work or use my A light bar to make a more petite version. But one thing is for sure, I had my eureka moment on light location.

I'm also working to finish up the metal work on the backing plates. After some sanding to get the rest of the pitting out, I spent some time on it under the drill press. I will be finishing up the PS tomorrow.

Nothing worth showing at the moment. I've been doing some more parts collecting and tinkering, but that's about it for the coupe.

I'm working to get some customer jobs out the door all our cars under a roof. One customer job just left 15 minutes ago, so that's one step closer to blowing the coupe back apart for rear suspension. Stay tuned!

Not on the coupe at the moment. I'm installing a new trans in the Henry J.

Only update I can post at the moment is that the car is now going to be run with the 4 port Hilborn mechanical fuel injection.... on the street.

I've been working on a new shop recently. I should have some progress updates on this car sometime this winter. Don't worry, it's still a blower car, this motor is just dropped in as a place holder.
