I just picked up a '63 Tbird been sitting for over 30 years and I'm looking for ideas on what to do with it.
These Birds are pretty cool just the way they came from Ford.....
No ugly gas filler door on the side of the body....built in door handles....and a nice long low cool body style.

Let's see what you folks have done and are doing to these cool Birds.

  2. Looks like your score is quite a bit nicer than mine that also sat for 30 years. Good Score!

I am guessing you are planning on customizing it? What are you looking to do?

I think there is already a pic thread or 2 on bullet birds though.

    green73...thanks I'll look for them.
This one sat indoors for years.....needs the usual stuff for a vehicle sitting that long. It's a pw, ps, pb, A/C car. I'm going to replace the fuel tank and get the brakes setup and just drive it (as it does run) while I ponder....
I'm trying to get some ideas.....flat light blue paint w/deep blue metal flake top....hubcap change.....scallops.....

  4. You asked for opinions....A new set of wheels/tires. Period. Then drive the poo out of it.

Mike....Thanks....I definitely plan on driving the wheels off it......it doesn't take much to personalize these Birds and I would like to do a little something different for it.
Even a different set of hub caps........can change the look quite a bit.

I was looking to get into one of these forever. Could never find a decent one to start on so I picked up my 63 Galaxie. I still love Birds and would still love to get into one. One of the coolest looking cars IMO

Anyone happen to know what DSO with a #64 stands for on the build tag?

  13. It's amazing how "just a little bit" can be just right. I love the narrow whites, wide whites would be wrong for this era.

VirgilHilts.....thank you. I manage to find a breakdown of the data plate. Made in Mi DSO to New Orleans and then ended up in California and finally here in New Brunswick, Canada.
