Event Coverage Gasser Finals Race at Greer Dragway!!

Tudor, no this is a different guy. Bret Kepner is a walking dictionary on drag racing. Spend a minute talking to him and you will be amazed, I promise. He never forgets a car or driver, or stat for that matter. LOL I look forward to seeing you guys again this year. Quain actually has some folks from the Meltdown Drags coming all the way from Wisconsin! Customs and Classics say they are gonna have a camera crew there for some footage of Cromer's Moonlighter so it's gonna be a full day.

I use to see Bret on ESPN and Speed channel a lot. He definitely knows drag racing.

When I looked up what Chicago Style was it said the contestants could cross the center line without penalty

Not sure if that's how these guys were running. Pretty cool though.

We will have designated parking for the hot rods and bikes. Look for the signs and hot rods on the right just before the concession stand. We'll also have an area right next to the stands along the fence. Look forward to seeing everyone there.

Good! I respect bracket racers, but its B O R I N G. Or maybe its just because the gassers put on a damn good show . This and S.I.M. just keeps growing.

 

Gates open at 10:30 with racing starting around noon.

This will be a first time for me at this track. Are there stands to sit in, do you back your ride close to the fence, etc?? I am really looking forward to checking it out. Any issues with bringing a small grill to the track??

Ive been trying to line up a Grudge race between me and somebody!!!!!!!....lol...they must be scard....sigh

 

Coffee and Doughnuts at the Geargoyles shop...

The Geargoyles Car Club will have free coffee and doughnuts at their shop from 9:15 am until 10:45 am.

We will leave the shop at 10:45 and convoy to the Gasser Finals. Greer Dragway is just a couple miles from our shop.

The shop is located at 118 W. Poinsett St. Greer SC 29650. We are right under the Greer City water tower.
