Talk about a REAL sleeper. How about this late 40's Ford 4 door with the Cadillac Eldorado engine.

Another favorite of mine was this 427 Ford powered '57 2-door sedan.

Anyone got the contact info for the 53 Chevy wagon all original car that was for sale? I was going to write down the contact number but it was gone when I came back.

I spotted your car and hung around a little while to say hello, but you were away. I was parked over on the side near the red Diamond T ramp truck with the roadster on the back.

Here is an engine shot of Dwight Cass's modified Cadillac valve covers. This was necessary to clear the high lift Isky cam. Also, check out the truck radiator. This car is one of the best examples of the ingenuity of moonshiners back in the day. This is the type work Junior Johnson did long before getting into racing.

There were about a dozen real or tribute '30s race cars there including this Buck Baker '37 Dodge.

This is the Dawsonville Moonshine distillery supply car (just kidding). The family of the original moonshiner are doing it legal now. They will probably be making moonshine a long time since he lived to 109. If you showed proof of being 21 you could get a free sample. YUM YUM!!!

It looked like an early Olds engine. I didn't try to see if someone disguised something other to look like one.

aren't those roads awesome? it would have been more fun if my power steering didnt bust 300 miles into the trip but i was still able to have a late model suburban and a new impala pull of the dragon to let me by and a group of baggers who didnt even wanna pass me when they could. right arm was so sore on saturday i could barely lift a cold one but 2100 miles and i'm home and something else on the car to work on

I don't recall ever seeing one of these in this body style. Where would you ever find parts for it.

That was a great car show. Over 400 cars and there were a bunch of 40 Fords. Some with Caddy motors and some with Olds motors. Did see one with a 312 motor. A lot of beef up cars there also. I really did not think my 40 fit in because it pure stock as Henry built it. I hope I can go next year. If it any way possible try to go and have a great time. We sure did.
