  17. Just curious, why are the bags positioned so far inboard? Like springs, wouldn't they be best positioned close as possible to the frame rails? Only asking as I have yet to do this on my 53 Buick...have never bagged any vehicle before.

Dragdoc I put them a little closer in then I do most!! If you look closely the edge of bag is on the edge of the parallel link bars. The panhard bar will keep the car from side to side play!! I will be running independent bag setup so should not have any sway issues either!! ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1382100045.010156.jpg
I also slipped these bags in a little closer and actually behind the axle and this s10 drove like a champ!! So I figured it would work for my application!! Thank you for the close eyeball!! I second opinion is always nice!!

you choose to weld the bag mounts just on top of the notch instead of a more professional approach? i.e loose un-terminated ends of bars? Ive been building mini trucks since before bags were "the thing" and if you really want to knock it out of the park clean up those ends and throw some gussets on it. I'm not saying bad job just offering advice Most dont even make it this far, thats when i buy them by the box.

So I haven't worked on Merlene much lately due to the fact my wife was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in November... She is in her second round of chemo.. 4 more to go!! Once we get everything back in order(life) I will be getting back on my build!!
