Does anyone know the story on this car. I see Henry Ford but I have never seen this car before. I see the rollbar. Was this some attempt at a "safety car" or something like that?

I don't believe she was a hot rodder or custom car builder. Don't think she was some sort of sexy model. Don't think she was a famous actress or involved in a sex scandle, wasn't married to anyone famous, or had particularly large boobs???????????????? So what's up doc?
I have wonderd for many pages and many posts about this Dipstick girl!

Okay she's from California and she was sort of a cute little girl. So were millions others.

Also thanks about the 41 Ford soybean car.

Hey, you had to start somewhere. It's just a shame that the worse ones cost some people so much.
    Cheers.

This one may be still around; it's had a busy career. Built for Eastern Airlines in 1942, but instead it went to the USAAF as a C-49 s/n 43-2010. Surplused postwar it flew for Northwest as seen here until 1949, then with California Central as seen here in 1953 (William Larkins photo from the Ed Coates collection):
Then its registration was changed to N148D and it flew with Ozark from '58 to '66 (my uncle was with for Ozark and probably worked on it!). In the '70s it was with Pinehurst Airlines (Ellis Chernoff photo via airliners.net):
Then with Texas Airways and Southwind Airlines; last reported sold in 1995 and the registration cancelled in March 2012.

^^^Not the real Marx Brothers; just some locals hired by the theater to promote the movie. You can tell if you look closer:

^^^...see? There's the fake Groucho and Chico in the front, and in the back there's Zeppo and Homo and... wait a minute?!?:eek::eek:
(OK, I'm sure they were just being wise guys and the photographer didn't notice, or else he would have done a retake...)

Stay tuned for the next thrilling installment...

I nominate Denise Diplock as our Titular HAMB Queen.
For those who don't get it...sorry!
She could have been any of our girlfriend "back in the day".

  15. Yes, and whoever started this (you know who you are) should be the one to show her how famous she is!

And those of you that think there is a "common" meaning of the word titular, think again:
