Friend of mine ( Subneil on here) came down from Vermont to visit and attend the Fallout in Glastonbury CT last weekend. Thought I'd share pics of his car. He'd like to know what you guys think. Has a built 302 GMC with 300 hp backed up to a T5 and an S-10 rear. Car is done "right"

what's not to like! The berries!

  3. I dig it... At least he's got something to drive. My 29 pu is still languishing on jack stands in the garage.
I would agree with the "done right" description...

That looks like 34 on down, the 35 had a full steel roof (no insert) and I believe suicide doors.

Awesome car. A friend has an all steel 35 roadster with blue flame 6, triple carbs and T400. Looks restored.

Sweet ride!! Jealousy comes to mind. Oh, '35 standards same as '34, I think he was thinking of the '35 Master.

I would not touch a thing, it looks GREAT !

  13. In the words of that inimitable secret agent, Maxwell Smart,... "Missed it by that much!" :D

The '35 Chevy Master had the steel, turret top roof with suicide doors - a completely different car! What is pictured is a '35 Chevy Standard, which is basically a '34 Chevy Standard body with a stronger frame. BTW, the pictured '35 is awesome!

I really like it. But a question, don't those rear tires bottom out? They seem to fill the wheel well.

The rear tires don't bottom out. He put a lot of thought into wheel and tire selection

The '35 Chevy with the suicide doors was a Master Deluxe. This one is a Standard. I am a Ford freak, but those '34-'35 Standard coupes had "the look". Replace the wood with steel, then boogie !

Like most, I'm also a Ford Fanatic from the old to the new. There's no doubt that the '34-'35 Std. Chevy 3 window Coupes are under rated. Thanks for sharing this great Hot Rod with us. If you have any more pics please share.
