Time to start welding. What I did not realize was that these fenders have a nice coat of lead on them. Rewind and fix that.

The to do list for 2013
    1. Finish grill surround. (Rechrome kaiser grill bar)
    2. Shave hood and round corners.
    3. Take the doors down to steel and repair the repairs.
    4. Install Lincoln push button door buttons from 40s continental.
    5. Shave trunk lid and move the plate to the bumper with the kaiser grill surround.

Lol, I'm trying to get as much done as possible before the little one gets here.

  13. Not sure if you caught it or not but you put 2012 on your list rather than 2013. That was why I commented on the time.:D

image.jpg I got a little done on the drivers side. I cut out the sections that held the merc and ford parking lights and replaced them with a new panel. I also made a cut alond the bottom of the fender wher it bolts to the splash pan so that I could pull it out a little so that the curvature would be consistent.

I just saw the Jalopy Journal post and could not believe my eyes. Thanks for the kind words Ryan and I agree that the new format is a great change.

  21. You're saying it gets cold in Canada? Now I've heard everything. :D

Nice work on the grille surround. I've got a ways to go before I get to mine, it's on the list.

Thanks Big A. I have been filling your build and you have come a long way. Kinda reminds me of my Tudor build.

Looks like there arent much shoeboxes with solid floors anywhere. Most of them seems to have some rust issues on the floors.
    That floorjob looks good too..

Thanks FinnRodder, those floors are in my Tudor. I am very fortunate that my convertible is an extremely solid car.

Yeah,i understood that the rust issues are on different car. That really makes things faster, when you dont have to spend time with crappy floors.Keep it up!
