  1. I agree man, not chopping mine. Now if it was fenderless then I would chop

Truth be told I've had a few t buckets and A roadsters. They were all right in the middle of summer when its blistering hot. I hate sunburns and that dried out face burn of sitting in the sun. BUT, I am keeping the top off the brown one that's for sale and gonna chop it down and work it onto this car once I rework the windshield stantions. This time if year its really fun driving it, its been in the mid to upper 30's in the morning and upper 60's by 2:30 or so.

Btw, if you can, keep the coupe and start compiling parts for a roadster :)

  10. I like that idea man, A roadster and a coupe!!!

    Very nice work !!!
I have almost the same project, found some good inspiration on your built!
If you have time to share, i'm looking for some advices and help to place correctly my sbc on the frame...

  16. sure, happy to help any way

  17. Been pretty busy lately on the coupe. Started the sliding rag install and it has been a bear. Front wooden header was in really bad shape so I decided to replace that as well. I'm too cheap to buy a new one so we just made one. Things are turning out well, but still have a lot of work to so. I went down to Tennessee for the fall rod run without a top and added a few pics of that as well.

    Stay tuned for more updates

  20. Looks like the plan is coming together.

street rods are driven by Chevy, but hot rods are powered by Ford!

Make sure you watch the with of the top frame whys you bolt it Down it tends to pull in on the sides when you bolt it down from front to back. I cut a couple wood blocks to put in the center and keep it in line then bolted it down starting in the middle and working to the front and back. I also had to flatten out the front header of the top to get it to sit flush when the top was closed

  22. Thanks for the advice man, will definitely pay attention to that

  26. Getting closer, got the roof in primer and test fitted the frame one more time. Things are looking good. Even got my girlfriend helping along with Mikes29 who has been a huge part of this build.

  27. Big update. I'm about 98% finished. I need to modify the handle a little bit and do some finish work on the headliner. I so those things after the roof is painted when I have more time.
