I think I am getting somewhere towards my goal with the zephyr.
A bit of tweeking with the ride height and some decent hubcaps, finish the intererior and trim and it's pretty much done for now.
I will get the bumpers re chromed at some point as money allows and will probably remove the bolt holes first and smooth them out.

This car is STUNNING. There isn't a build thread on it here on the HAMB, is there? If not, do you happen to know how much they extended the rear quarters? The proportions look fantastic.

Agreed. Stunning in execution. Simple, clean lines. Elegant, if I dare use such a word. Timeless.

It would be very hard to improve upon that one - a true masterpiece!

  9. i'd have to say that i think that's the most perfect sedan chop for that model that i have ever seen. the rest of the car aint so bad either.

The 51 is pure class all the way.The stance and execution of the body mods is perfect. The only thing for me would be to install the rear hub caps, just to have that poking through under the skirts instead of the black rim.But its a perfect kustom

That maroon Chevy with the Cadillac grill is gorgeous...only thing I would do is maybe add a pair of Appletons, but it's also great without them. Perfect execution...

Here's a cool pic of my 46 and Kustomer54's shoebox. This was taken in April on the way to the Roundup. This building was some sort of a hospital with some great styling.

^ Bitchin.... There was a beautifully chopped 40 or 41 dodge for sale on Craigslist LA a few weeks ago like yours. It was a club coupe, little bit more of a chop. Beautiful lookin car.

That car is perfect. Period. Nobody is allowed to disagree. If they do, they're wrong.

  18. I have already expressed my feelings on that mercury plenty of times, its gorgeous but I have to ask about the angle of the exhaust tips ? Very nice photo by the way.

Yeah Jeff the exhaust tips were from the previous owner. We never had time to fix them properly. Wish I was good at photoshop!

Hahahaha, I always wondered about that, just thought it was some kinda of 40's Custom trickery. None the less, it is truly an awe inspiring Custom.

Kevan, you and Rik outdid yourself on Tim's merc...from the fantastic thinned and angled B pillars to the handmade beltline trim and chopped down rear window, you've taken the '39/'40 merc coupe chop to a new level.

Thanks for fixing the exhaust Rik! thanks Rob, I wish I could take full credit, but it really was a team effort and some of the ideas were done before.
