With the renewed interest in Denise Diplock, a very nice looking wholesome girl from back then, may I propose that she be elected as "HAMB Poster Girl". She has my vote

Actually four, although three are the A-17A type with retractable gear.

    This one in Peru:

This fixed gear A-17 at an undisclosed crash site, waiting for recovery (from aircraftwrecks.com):

And one more that was recently found in a lake in Canada where it crashed and sank in 1940. The remains of the two crewmen were recovered and the plane, broken up but complete, will be recovered soon by the RCAF for restoration.

Rail cars are Deleware, Lakawana, and Western, my guess would be Buffalo coal or ore docks. D, L & W serviced the steel mills in the Buffalo area. Iron ore from laker freighters, and coal from PA to power the mills, and then also transport steel ad iron to east coast markets. Wode cars would suggest late 1800's early 1900's. As mentioned the ship was likely a Whale back ore carrier.

The cranes were none as Thornberg hoists this shot is labled 1900.

  17. Hope y'all don't mind, not way in the past, but five years gone by. Many friends might remember my little dog ChiChi. She accompanied me to many car shows. R.I.P.

Thanks for the info guys. I had never seen anything like that, and I'm a railfan. Must've been painfully slow. You can see one of the buckets between the lighthouse and the hoist.
