The first time David Lynch saw Isabella Rossellini, not knowing who she was, he asked “Who is that Ingrid Berman-looking woman?”

afaik Daimler-Benz scrapped the transporter, late fifties/early sixties i suppose, only to feel the need to recreate it within the last decade. i don't think it was sold.

Correct-a-mundo. The Mercedes Renntransporter was built in 1954 for fast transport of cars to and from tracks. Mercedes pulled out of racing in '55 after the LeMans tragedy. The transporter was used by the factory for a few years but was finally scrapped in 1967. Mercedes realized their mistake and built a replica in 1993.

The car that sold this year for $29 mil was a W196 Grand Prix car. One of the few Mercedes Grand Prix cars that the factory let go into private hands.

Glenn Wood (yes of the Woods Brothers fame. Glenn was, I think, the dad) wins with this convertible against the factory backed Ford cars. The race took place in Fayetteville, NC.

Again Glenn wood. Supposedly this was the family sedan.

Desoto dealership circa 1942 located at 1711 14th Street NW in Washington DC. The building is still there but can't figure out the name of the dealership o add to the Desoto dealer listing.

    1957 Plymouth Fury mini car?
It is not a Powercar Fury JR because they did not make them until 1958 and they looked different. Must be custom made?

I know it's a long shot but can anyone identify the race track where the Zingers are at?
