Hey englishrodder, there are about 8 or 10 of us, I'm sure we'll be in the parking lot around a cooler or two so stop by. Yea, the beer n brat train was already sold out last week but if we get there early enough on Friday we might try to ride regular train with the cash bar.

Did a bit of tweaking to the Singlefinger roadster the last few days. Installed an elec dizzy, fresh 30wt, & power bled the brakes to flush them out.

All was going OK until 1am last night when the brk pedal hit the floor! Sh*t!!!

Blew a rr wheel cyl out. Chinese crap was only a few years old!

Rob scrambled his troops & found one this am. WOW!

    Leaving at 0-dark-30.

  10. Thanks Hans - This is going to be one fantastic weekend! Mom just got to town today from CA, friends from KS are rolling in, some really great friends have helped me all week get the coupe running, thanks Scott, Bryan, Dad, Tom, Mike, Aaron!

I drove the coupe tonight for the first time, that was a hoot!

    Georgetown here we come!

  11. Yea, the train was a hit! Sold out Quick! If you ride the train make sure they know you are with the Hot Rod Hill Climb. May not get you a discount, but it will help us for next year! See you this weekend!

  21. We are driving up early ,and I mean early, Saturday morning from the Springs. Having to drive the Model A as my ot pickup's fuel pump went out on Sunday. Was out tonight and man what a pain with no wipers or defrost. My 11 year old daughter was wiping the windshield with a rag as I drove while my other two sat in the back wrapped in a blanket. That's the fun and adventure of driving these hotrods!

Hwy I-70 is still closed at Beaverbrook (mm 248), due to the rockslide we posted early this am.

Mike says CDOT should have it open by midday.

The rain should move out of town about the same time, according to the news.

  28. My road in the canyon is closed, washed out, I had to detour to I-70, went past the ROCK slide, saw a couple of cars headed up - or I should say sitting in a traffic jam.
    Hope this rain stops!!

The worst part is that at 9pm local time, F6Garagerat was telling us about a report on the Weather Channel telling of potential flooding in Commerce Cty CO.
We called Vern n Don & Judith. They chkd the local TV news, where there was NOTHING about it!!!

They finally noticed it this am.

Nice media crews you guys got here... they're right ontop of things.
