    Merry Christmas. Have you made any changes to the front suspension? After putting the 390 Ford in mine I found that the front was VERY stiff. I'm having trouble finding the spring specs for the Jag. I remember you saying you were going a different route with your front. Have a good New Year. John

    I don't know what kind of springs you have.
    but I have springs from a 6 cilinder jag.
    they are not as stif as the ones from a 12 cilinder jag.

    I have a pontiac engine (cast iron heads and intake)maybe this makes the difference in weight on the front axle.

    Thanks for the answer. I'm using a 390 ford which weights appx. 800 #. Heaver than the poncho I think. I'm not sure which car mine came out of as the engine was gone. Now everything is gone. The dia. of the spring wire is .700. Do know what yours is? Jag doesn't like to reveal their specs. Thanks john

    .700 for the V12
    .675 for the line 6

    ziet er mooi uit Vind die "watts linkage" een gave oplossing ipv een panhard-bar. probeerde het fotootje te selecteren om te bewaren maar dat lukte dus niet. Ik ga weer verder kijken, goedenavond!

    updates? I've got a 47 fordor yet to start on. got a ford 302/aod for it. Was already planning on the xj6 front but the TA rear is a great solution, also the xj wiper motor setup etc.

    good stuff!

    had a lot of fun with it.
    I have driven many miles with it.
    the,to do list is getting shorter.
     
  15. I mounted a Toyota Landcruiser 4.2 litre diesel radiator
    it's not as wide as the original one.
    made new brackets and placed it furter forward.

    anyone know where you can get the headlight buckets for a 42-48 ford passenger car? I've looked everywhere and i can't find a repo or anything
