Racing on the Pendine beach is happening again , alot of stuff happened there way back when. theres a museum there with cars and bikes ,all restored racers anyone able to get there will only encourage the local government to allow full racing in the future great stuff! http://www.pendinelrc.com/events
Look for this car there. Steve's goal is to have the restoration done in time for the Pendine sands event.
The VHRA event posted above is happening this weekend, there's a lot of people over here really looking forward to this. Race numbers are going on hot rods, and excitement is building. The best thing that's happened to UK hot rodding in a long time. L.P.
Expect to see lots of pictures! Me and the Wife are leaving for this event in the morning and taking the scenic route there. See you soon Keith. Happy travels!
Excellent weekend, Neil and the VHRA put on a great event. First time in 27 years that a car has raced on Pendine Beach. I followed a friend down who was towing his just finished T with his Chevy wagon. 240 odd miles - 7 hours! A great selection of Hot Rods, this ran the fastes, blown flathead, 114mph Enjoy the pics. http://s603.photobucket.com/user/neilswheels/slideshow/VHRA Pendine Sands 2013
I've been looking at the pix and vids all evening....totally unbelievable . Wait 'til you see the charge of the Light Brigade..it just doesn't get any better than this...
Can it really get any better than this? The birth place of land speed records and a collection of Britain's finest traditional hot rods, sublime. It would seem like Neil and his friends at the VHRA have pulled another rabbit from the hat with a world class event. Congratulations to all.
Great photos from a wonderful event. The cars just looked at home on the sand. I've just added a gallery of photos. Here's a few favourites...
