Curious as to what brand the 6.00x16 front tires are...and can you still get them new?

Ok, I'm hooked, I already see some Ideas I need to add to my ponder this list for my Model A. I like the simple no nonsense concept of the build too.

Looks like we've got the entire family of truck builders on here. Looking good, I like the powertrain.

    I'm right here!

I started teaching again and I'm busy writing curriculum and building a wind tunnel at the school- that and prepping for our wedding which is next month- ;-)

I had a little time to work on the truck-

I shortened a torq tube- it's fifty some inches now- I did this once already but it was off- I perfected my jig- and fixed it- ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1379300699.097873.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1379300711.577135.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1379300725.743661.jpg

I attached pics of the model a spring perches for the 40 rear- need to sand blast the rear end and its been raining all weekend-

Did some welding on the chassis- bones are ready to get blasted and finish welded-

I'm gonna chop the top for sure- I have another frame here I was going to use as a jig to support the cab-

I'm not sure how much I'm gonna cut it yet- mild- maybe 3" (-:

Speed gems used to be made here in Minnesota - no longer in business- you can still find the adapters!

I have to machine a pilot bushing-
That along with the shortening of the torq tube/ axle are the major obstacles I'm my way- not really major but everything else seems like cake after that stuffs out of the way-

Tuck, and all. I believe you can still get adapters from Bob Bendtsen. This is the web page. I know they are still in Ham Lake Mn. From what I know they are still available. The name is now Bendtsens Speed Gems. I was just over by this shop about a week ago and still seemed like they are doing work.

    Here is their web page.

No way did I sell it :p

I'll post updates after our wedding is over! :)

I got some more 40 wheels from Tokyo last weekend- one of my wheels was BAD- he had a really nice one with paint and pinstripes its just green. I need to get a new tube and I'll get it mounted.

Oh ok haha good ! I just got confused because in your other thread it said you sold what was left of your truck an on your profile it says you only have a 29 roadster .... That must have been about something else anyhow im glad you still got it an congrats on getting married wish you the best
