Are you talking about the new ones or originals? The new ones are $450 each but everyone seems to be pretty happy with them. I am poor so I am gonna run 94's on my 8ba.
The bloody new ones.. I understand they look cool but they are very simple easy part. Bloody cars!!! Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Compare them to a new Edelbrock or Holley that they sell thousands of when new 97`s are probably sold in the hundreds quantity. You have to pay for the tooling somehow !
I hear what your saying. After months of procrastination I purchased 4 new ones and then got nailed by customs when the vintage speed manifold came into the country. Now they are here I couldn't be happier, really nicely made and the tech back up is second to none. Good luck
A well built product, very knowledgable front man (clive), a full product line, and makes my coupe's 283 come alive with no issues at all, makes me love them. They will be going on my flathead build to. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
Just like rat man we got some new ones but carried the home in a bag. But just cause they are new doesn't mean they are good. Fired up great and idled but wouldn't run at all when time to drive, seem like they forgot the NO MAIN JETS at all!!! Accelerator seal also out of round. Other wise now they run great ,no traditional leaks either.
Me, I just like to punish myself,ol swap meet carbs for me.I wouldnt know myself if I didnt smell like gasolene & oil after a drive
Hmmm still under sided if I will be a tight ass and get a pair of second hand 97's and kit them but I will still have old carbs, or bite the billet and buy new, after all I want no dramas later. What is the best place to get them from? Cheers Darren Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
The things are just good looking, easy to work on. I've had some on a y-block now for a couple of years and she runs great !! When I first fired her up one had a leak at one of the plugs and uncle Max had it back to me within a week!! Free of charge, including the ride, and it was technically out of warranty. You can't put a price on that! Clive even followed up with me, to make I was happy. Buy from them!!
Running triple 97s on my y block F100 I think u can spend a lot of time and money on old worn out carbs, so I bit the bullet n went new, they have been great pleased with my choice Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Did you run a vacuum advance on your triple 97s for the Y block distributor? Some 94's have an outlet for a vacuum advance.
Come on you use all this new fan dangled stuff like 94 carbs, old is where it's at stupider than stupid just run 97 carbs and be done with it. You kids just dont understand OLD STUFF. I can talk we have three cars running 97s and two with new 97s and one with 3 old 97s Hey deadbeat it's time you called by we have a several flathead manifolds on the wall all wearing 97s and not a 94 in sight, way to new.
