is there any difference between a mopar 340 sb fuel pump vs a fuel pump for a hemi 241 redram ?

mine has started to leak oil between the two halves on my 241 redram hemi .. I have two 340 Sb fuel pumps .......... just wondering if they interchange.
    Thanks !

I don't think they do, but I think that TR Waters (Tom) here on the Hamb has a fix for this in the form of a spacer of some kind...

Hot Heads also has a spacer, not sure if "73RR"(QEC) has them or not. Spaces the pump out about 1/2"

I quit selling spacers because they do not appear to work on 100% of the applications and I don't like 'those' phone calls.

Once again...lay one of the pumps on the edge of your bench and trace the arm outline, note the sweet spot and the flange location. Now, do the same with the other pump and see if moving the LA pump away from the centerline will place the arm in a proper working location. If it looks like a spacer will work then buy one or make one.

FWIW, Lately there have been numerous #4280 pumps on ebay.

I've got a 53' 241" and acquired the spacer which would not work with any sbm pump. I ended up locating a stock style pump but they are pricy.

Take the time to compare the two arms (new to old) as I have seen (and now own) several 4280 with not-quite-right lever arms.

There's been a number of problems with wrong arms or pumps not working when bolted in. One buddy had a new pump that the arm would pop off the concentric.
