  5. Already? I am still cleaning from Speedweek.
Actually not true, cleaning done and repairs started.

  6. Thanks for the clickable link. We use to have a big labor day celebration. Parade, train rides. army duck rides and baseball games. All part of the past now. One crane that changed the locomotive batteries had a Model "A" engine that ran a generator to power the magnet. The magnet was used to load scrap metal. Labor day was the last day of freedom. School started the next day.

  17. I use Castrol HD 30. Of course this is in Southern California. I think any good quality motor oil will work most of what you might hear is from people who read or heard too much about zinc and other additives. Good filter is a necessity. I use 20 50 in my later vehicles (97 99). Straight 40 weight in my 74 Hallet with 455 Olds.

as i couldnt get a F150 O/D over here i chose this trans. its from a 70 maverick for $40 US .shipping and a reco kit added its still a reasonable cost ,,the shaft mod cost $200 at a local machinist ,,he said it was pretty hard,,,its not 5 speeds but it will be an improvement over my existing trans.

I am thinking of using roller bearing style connecting rod instead of drilling the crank
they can be made to suit a banger
the crank needs to be nitride
but they only need oil splash
    what do you guys think
