You. Make. Me. Jealous. Only 63-1/2 I had was a parts car, others were a boxtop 500 with a 260 and 3-on-the-tree black/red like yours and an all-Chestnut XL 4-door HT with 352-2v/C-O-M that smelled like mice (a TRUE 'barn find' in 1991). I'd trade my '55 Victoria for a '63 XL with a 390 or better in a heartbeat, but then I'd kick myself for getting rid of the Victoria.
2 happy people and 2 neat cars. That's the way it's supposed to work. Congrats to both of you.............Don.
Thanks Don....The deal went smooth. Andy and I e-mailed, did PMs here, swapped photos, talked on the phone, found out that we have mutual friends, decided to hook up with the cars and all of that made everything work. As it turned out, Andy was looking for a 63...I was missing the Flathead sound I had in my 39 Sedan......Couldn't have worked out better. Murph
I have a 63 1/2 black on red Galaxie I bought from a guy last name Murphy..... Its only a parts car though. Coincedence!!!
Here's another 63 for ya to look at......... Just got the motor back together after a year of down time...474 inches of med riser..was making a bit over 800...may be able to coax 750 or so this time... Think it's a good day to put our ole "Lucille" engine back in...raining a bit here in N. Texas today and the heat is only going to be around 96 instead of 104.. M.
That is a nice looking car! They sure look good in black. I'm putting mine together (390/4 speed) and will probably go with the original white. I think it will look good but white just doesn't "pop" like a black car. Enjoy!
I love that bare bones, super stocker look with the blackwalls and dog dish caps. Makes them look nasty and mean. Nice score. Don
