R W Ohio. Love all the old drag race shots.

This is my work in progress, hoped to have it on the road this summer but don't think that's happening. Well maybe late fall. Ron. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

It really brings back fond memories.(1978) Even under the hood with the white headers and finned valve covers.

It's from a 56 HT. They are longer but still slightly short at top so flattened it slightly to get rid of the HT curve in the side. Wagon is flatter. Then I raised the side trim.
Wife wanted a mini van so I built this as my mini van sorta look-a-like BelAir style handyman wagon complete with Bel Air trim and Nomad rear quarters. That's why the window area is blacked out mini van style.
A factory 55-56 handyman only had the roof a different color.

For sure even the distance between the tires and body are the same. Mine has a 327 with forged popup pistons same as GM used in the high hp motors. And a blueprinted 30-30 solid lifter cam. It was a 210 but putting it back together as a business man coupe. Stationary quarters windows no back seat. Thanks for the comments lots of guys don't get the look. But I've always love the cheep body styles in all makes. Ron

    thanks!
I cant remember the rear axle width (ford 9") but the tires are 31x13x15 on a 15x10 rim. back space I think is 4". I can verify if you'd like.

and NOW...NEVER buy a car in primer. It's a mess under there..

I did build a custom center section for the frame...Kind of like the Morrison design. Spent about $100 on metal...

Not real sure. Obviously not a purist car. I'm getting to "hone" my body skills. on this thing. If It wasn't for the rust repairs this thing would be on the road. I have EVERYTHING for the car, just haven't finished the rust repairs.
Will be a 383/700r4 carbed motor. It's got a 9 inch in it now and discs..

  25. After a decade+ of hibernation... here is mine on it's first cruise through town for some ice cream. Still needs a few little things, but glad it's alive once again. Car is getting new tires this week and needs a good detail soon, so new pics will follow shortly. Have to thank my dad and fellow HAMB'er BJE31 for making this happen and fordf1trucknut for helping out with some of the mechanicals.

I have a bel air post as well and NOS fenders. I see you left the front trim off as many do on the fenders and doors. Like both ways without looks clean
