Event Coverage 5th anual iowa hamb get together party sept 14th

ok folks been running into a lot of you lately at shows and races and had a lot asking if i'd be having a get together again , yep ! looking like sept 14th , free food free beer or beverage all that's required is you come have a good time , bring an old car if you like but not required , if you wish to bring a dish that's ok too , located at 1155 prarie ave Marshalltown iowa on the family farm where my hobby shop is , its about an 1/8 mile of gravel but drive slow and it wont kill ya , hope to see you all there

 

Lookslike Sept 14th would be better for me so I can go to Dragfest on the 28th at Cordova.

14th then folks ? I believe rumble in the stalks is 21st so that weekend would be out

 

Brock, you are a man of many conflicts. I am sure you have had conflicts on dates before. Ha. Whenever you have it, the food will be good and the friends many.

I haven't been able to make one yet, so don't schedule around me. But you did manage to miss the date (the 6-7th) for Greenfield this year. The ISU vs. UoI game is the 14th, starting at 5 PM.

 

Keep in mind also its in the evening . Usually 5 till whenever

 

This is a traditional forum. If you can't make the game you need to listen to it on the old radio. We aren't all football fans, so there will be a crowd anyhow I am sure.

 

I know. I'm just giving suggestions (excuses as to why I won't make some dates). Don't worry, Brock won't miss me anyhow.

Is the Bonneville guys gonna be there? Didn't get to spend much time hangin with you guys out there. Guess we all have to go back next year!

The new Mississippi Mayhem show in La Crosse is on the 14th but I would skip that for Brock's get together.

I'll be following Matt's coupe in my convertible. A couple of other Cedar Rapids guys may make the drive over with us.

Is Greaser Bob going to be there? If he is, we can schedule our gang rumble behind your dad's barn.

Doug- do you want to catch a ride with us from Cedar Rapids? If my brother doesn't go I'll have room or you can ride in Matt's 32 again.

Holding off buying the same # belt for a spare. I may be making some changes to the pulleys and the belt length may change.

gonna check a few more things today and probably lock it in for the 14th , it seems to be the only weekend that will work in sept and that my father can be there which I know some of you enjoy visiting with , hopefully my brother is back from his Wisconsin home by then as he is the one who does all the pork loin everyone enjoys although I;m sure he can talk me thru it ! i'll post a deff date on here later tonight , then get something up on fb
