Does anyone know the correct ohms range for a gas gauge for a 1961 Chevy Impala. Mine is no longer accurate, I want to replace it with an aftermarket gauge, but I have no idea what to order. Too many ohms scale choices. Don't know where to turn for answers.

Is 0-30 ohms standard for most/all Chevys?

My '51 Styleline gas gauge doesn't work, the P.O told me the sender/float got taken out of the tank. I need to verify/replace... I'll do a universal setup if I can nail down the factory ohms..

Gm's up to mid 60's used the 0 to 30 ohms. My fuel cell is 0 to 90 but run a 47 ohm resistor in parallel to drop it back down .
