Anyone have some of the custom cab stainless "not the aluminum ones" pieces that go behind the door pillars they would like to sell??? Must be in decent shape. Yes I've looked at eBay FYI.

  5. Between the 73 rear axle and the 6' drop I got some tire rub going on out back - trim lip or change tires? These are pretty well used anyway... but that's the way this build has gone - little nagging issues nothing huge so far. Knock on bed wood.

There's a ton of these trucks down south, too... they are still fresh arrivals in the junkyards. Frequently.

What other 50 year old vehicle can you say that about?

  11. Thanks BlueBlood it's my hope that we can keep it once we are rolling with the wonderful roads we have in SW PA.

I swapped out the chrome reverse for stock 15 x 6 steelies I had powder coated and added some old trim rings.

Me too! I had "this look" in my head for awhile, with the white steelies that pull in the white from the center of the trim and poverty caps.

Wheels are stock 15x6, 6 luggers with 235/75R15's all around.

The drop is 1 1/2 coils off the front springs and Jeep TJ springs w/ 2" lowering blocks in the rear.

Saw this one over the weekend at the Cynthiana Rod Run here in Kentucky. The horror still haunts me and I hope by sharing it, I can escape the nightmares I've been having

I was so scared by this thing I was shaking and blurred this picture
    [IMG]

Ok, I'm exaggerating but come on, how is this a good idea?

It's not.... in any way shape or form. The roof line really is what sets these trucks apart.....

Did you notice that they also "molded" the bed to the cab.

:eek:Duuuude...What would you say to someone that told you, "I'm gonna do this to my truck...."

Personally, I blame Obama for this.

Agreed. It's a sin to remove it.
