I got busy and painted some graphics on the '53 Tini-Home. WOW! What a difference. My wife is taking it and the '51 Pontiac wagon on a girls weekend outing to Lake Michigan this weekend. She's excited. Happy wife, happy life...:D Makes up for the Caddy, which she's not very happy about...

Neat! Having never gotten to see one of those buses (before my time), I can't wait to see the interior shots.

Here is our '67 Serro Scotty (15' Gaucho). I have totally removed/redone the interior with all mahogany walls and oak cabinets, all built from scratch. I plan to re-skin it soon, as the old skin is pretty beat up with many many layers of paint and odd patched holes here and there. Here http://www.boardbysled.com/scotty.html I have a few pics of the interior as I built it.

  15. Here's mine. A 1968 Serro Scotty Hilander which I picked up recently.

Great photos. I always wanted one of those big buses. Or one of those little teardrops. Of course I always wanted one of everything.
Dad told me to "wish in one hand and shit in the other. Then see which gets full the fastest!"
 Ever since I've wished I hadn't done that.:(

  18. Any plans/ideas to put in central air? The big modern roof units have always looked out of place on vintage busses in my opinion.

Anyone seen one of these lately?
I used to run across them occasionally, but not often anymore. I'd love to have one to restore from my AD someday.

I've only seen them on jeep pickups and on early chevs (online). I believe the sides were angled to match the early boxes, but I've never seen one hands-on to know for sure.

They're ugly, but cool as hell at the same time.

That's amazing! - I gotta get me one of those for up at the lake these holidays! The Caddy is good for the job too...

  28. Not lately, but I remember some stories in Street Rodder when Pat Ganahl ran the show that showed his AD with one of these on it. I agree about the cool-as-hell part!
