Man this year's HAMB Drags was a blast. I don't think the weather could have been any more perfect. Thanks Ryan and everyone for putting on such a great event. I swear it gets better and better every year and I can't wait to see what next year has in store. I say it every year, but I'm really going to work hard to get my roadster done for this event next year. After all, I had to drive a minivan up to Joplin this year! Freakin lame. Anyways, here's some photos from Saturday. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
But, where is the pics of the S-10 with orange flames that was parked in the field with all the hot rods?
That was my S10. How many pictures would you like? By the way I've been to all 11 HAMB drags. How many you been to? Kind of hard to haul swapmeet parts in a Roadster. Maybe next year you can direct the traffic. What did you drive by the way? Would you like to see pictures of the Roadster too, or how about the HAMB drags Rambler I have.
Love the yellow 55 Chevy and also the green 56 Chevy. Classic gasser's from another era in time. Love the trips down memory lane. I find more and more the only drag racing I watch is the Nostalgic Drags. I have totally lost interest in the NHRA stuff on TV now. Jimbo
Cory always takes cool shots. I had the pleasure to meet him a few years ago, at the Springfield NSRA event, and make sure to catch up with him at any event that we are both attending.
great shots. we set up the vip parking area for the cars that are driven to the event, but not raced. it is man'd by the mo-kan crew, and they do a damn fine job with all,and if a few camaros, or a s-10 with pick up bed full of parts, happen to get in,and that ruins your day, im sorry.
Ryno, I had a smiley face by my Camaro comment. My day was not ruined by the '69 Camaro that parked next to my '40, nor the late 2000's Chrysler 300 that parked there, later in the day. My comment was more along the lines of poking fun at the Camaro's that weren't introduced to the market until '67, and the guys that knowingly parked in an area that was clearly designated for Pre-'1965 vehicles. I had a blast, and I was confident that my '40 truck met the parking area requirements, despite it's non-traditional radial tires.
