Hey everyone I added a new car to the stable today, a 1964 Mercury Monterrey. Very original and will be a fun project. Wondering what clubs are out there, parts suppliers, and anything else I should know for this new project. I'll get some pics up soon.

Autokrafters, Dennis Carpenter, Greg Donahue, Mac's.
Most mechanical parts are shared with Ford Galaxie.

Just wanted to tell you I had a 64 Merc Marauder and a 2-door breezeway. The doors are same as ford, Merc just bolted on the ridiged panels on the doors for the Mercs.Nicest cars I ever owned.

Thanks for the info! Sharing so much with the Galaxie will make part hunting much easier.

I've parted out fifty or sixty of these cars over the years, and have lots of used moldings, dashes, body panels, etc. for these cars. No repro parts, though.

I wish I could figure out how to post pictures of my two Mercs. Welcome. Nice Mercury. Body looks really straight.

That is a lot of part cars! Do you have any door rubber lipped beltlines for the outside window? Mine are beyond dry.

Best way in my opinion is to upload your pictures using http://imgur.com/ which will give you the link to directly embed your pictures to a post.

Thanks the car is in great shape and all original. Oddly enough one of my favorite things is the amount of original documentation and receipts that are still with it, including the original purchase receipt for $2900.

Unfortunately, in the hot, dry climate here, rubber and plastic just doesn't survive well. Many of the rubber weatherseals are the same for the same body style Galaxies in '63 1/2 and '64, Dennis Carpenter may be a good choice to check there.

Understandable. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Just don't want any more rain getting through there.

Thanks, I am very excited to get it on the road.

As for the headliner I am EXTREMELY fortunate the original driver was a non-smoker. It is flawless! The headliner in my Rambler is a complete mess in the back as the driver was a smoker and stained it beyond repair.

Headline still in good shape! Never knew the fabric had little "M's" until someone said something.
