I'm on the hunt now for a vintage camper for next year.

 

Ha same here. had a blast camping. The vintage campers were so cool.

 

This show could very easily turn into a camper show. The car count looked to me to be about the same as last year, and the camper count looked like it tripled. It's sort of like a "Woodstock" for car nuts.
If you have never been there, the buildings and grounds are amazing, and well worth the trip! Also it was nice with NO "art/rat rod" junk there.

Looking forward to next year.....and bring your HOT ROD or custom.

 

I have not had this much extended weekend fun since following the Grateful Dead around the Midwest back in the 80s ...for real! My wife and I encountered so many quality people throughout our stay and we're already planning a return trip for next year. She was hesitant to commit to the Symco Shakedown at first since she's new to the Hot Rod scene and had assumed that this would be like every other show where silver haired folks sat quietly in the shade around their over restored cream puff trailor queens ...and now she's stoked to be part of our culture. Thanks to all of our new friends who we shared so much fun with throughout the entire weekend.

Can I throw my name in the ring for being on the hunt for a vintage camper also?
When Cliffy catches up on some sleep I'd be curious what the camper site numbers were, I'm going out on a limb here, but I bet in the last two years the number of overall camp sites quadrupled!

I took over 600 pictures in two days, granted maybe a quarter of those are decent enough to show, I'll see what I can do about loading them or posting a link to a sharing site.
