In the picture with the kids and the T-Bird.I am standing right behind the kid in the drivers seat. It was taken at Parsons Ford Amsterdam NY. He won the T-Bird I got a toy. Story of my life!

Don't have to anymore! They don't test for it here any longer. If you actually try to parallel park properly today, you'll get a horn blast and the finger from the idiots behind you that can't understand why you don't just drive straight in like they would.

Plus the kids have an "app" on their phones that'll do it for them. It's a lost art.

In 1964 the Studebaker plant in Haifa, Israel built this stretched convertible for the prime minister. The state limo/ parade car has disappeared and believed to have been scrapped.

The guy on the lower right with the Mobil T-shirt has got to be Mickey Thompson.

And that is not Bonneville. Prior to heading to the salt Mickey was allowed to make tune up runs at Muroc.

Hi Raceron, would you mind me posting this on the Warbird Information Exchange (WIX) forum? Do you know where this was taken?

  19. No I don't, sorry. I found that promo piece on the web, it didn't include any details.

  20. No I don't mind if it's re-posted; I found it on the web so would consider it public info anyway. It might have been taken someplace in England but that only my guess.
