What is the story behind this string of posts and the Pratt&Whitney/Cyclone engine crates?

This was an trailer park for workers and the crates were storage units. notice the tar paper on the tops.

 

I probably worked on that OV-10 bronco when I was stationed in Florida....

I was curious too, vaguely remembering it from a mid-60s mag ('course everything from back then is getting vague). Does look Buick-ish, but....

This is the car I learned to drive in.1961 Ours was a DeSoto.
The trooper giving me my driving test announced to everyone in sight "No way this kid is gonna parallel park this bus!" I nailed it first try. I could never do that again.....
