ATTN: PHOENIX - The Long Beach Premier went off without a hitch. The show was almost sold out at the 380 seat Art Theatre (which is no small feat for an independently produced and distributed film).

Now we're coming for you Phoenix!

Next Sunday, August 11th "This is Long Beach" will play at The Film Bar (815 N. 2nd St.). This is a smaller theater, about a hundred seats and it's already half sold out, so PLEASE purchase your tickets in advance if you want to get it:

The theater has it's own parking lot which they are giving to us for preferred hot rod/custom/bike parking. . . so get there early if you want to get a spot in the lot.

I will be there to introduce the film, hawk some T-Shirts and DVD's. . . as well as listening to criticism (both good and bad, lol).

So come out, say hello, hassle me a bit and see a Hot Rod movie in a theater, on the big screen!

After that we're on the road to Albuquerque, Denver, Minneapolis, and so on. . . til we get back to the East Coast:

How long are you in Denver for? Just the day?

 

I'm in this little midwest town called Chicago, population of about Phoenix + Albuquerque + Denver. What are the chances you'll have a showing here?

 

ive lived in phoenix back in the late 80s for 10 months guess i should hung out for a while,,,chicago for 22 years,,now back to the east coast,,,any philly dates??? ide be glad to have the DVD,,,when ? where ? thanks

 

I'll only be in Denver for the day of the screening, then back on the road.

Chicago? Never heard of it. . .

. . . seriously though, I'm trying to book the film into as many cities as I can get to this month. Some theaters/cities are easier to work with, but I'll post any new dates here (and on my site: www.AtomicHotRods.com) as they're confirmed.

It should be out on DVD towards the end of September.

 

Brian, there is a really cool little theater called The Gem in Kannapolis NC (about 15 min from Charlotte Motor Speedway). It was built in 1936. We have a pretty good car scene around here and I am sure we could get a bunch of people to show up.

This theater is booked solid through the next month. . . I'm going to keep looking and hopefully get the movie into a theater somewhere in the Charlotte area.

 

Just wanted to let everyone in Phoenix, AZ know that the show on August 11th at The Film Bar (8:00pm) is SOLD OUT.

If you live in Phoenix and didn't get a ticket let me know. If the response it great enough I may be able to convince the theater to schedule a second screening for that night.

So if you live in Denver, Minneapolis, etc. . . please get your tickets in advance so you don't get locked out as well.

The "Gearhead Invasion" will be during the day, and your "Atomic Hot Rods Summer Movie Tour" featuring "This Is Long Beach" rolls in that evening !

Great news, the 8:00pm showing of "This is Long Beach" on August 11th in Phoenix, AZ has completely SOLD OUT in advance. . . I was able to convince the theater to run the film a second time at 9:30pm.

Please get your tickets in advance, these shows are selling out.
