I haven't seen cars like those in a self service yard since the early 80's.

Yep. Unfortunately the owner knew also.

 

There's sure a lot of them setting around but I've found that perseverance and and a fair offer with cash in hand will often make all the difference. Sometimes you just have to up the ante! I have my share of them setting also but at least some of them are out west where they don't seam to rust and I'd be willing to sell a lot of em.

 

Yup, a willys coupe! Its cool to see one that at least has a cover on it while being outside.

Ha! Its a Challenger, I don't know why I typed 69. Probably because at the same time I was typing it I was thinking about a '69 Camaro that's rotting away just down the road here. I realize these cars don't fall within the realm of the HAMB's car guidelines...but they are still very valuable classics that are foundering on neglect.

And I highly doubt that any member of this forum would be un-excited at the discovery of a true R/T challenger - rotting in the woods. I just wish I had a picture of it.

 

Could care less! No muscle, VW, or motorcycles on HAMB period. Other websites for that stuff.

 

My grandfather restored several Packards after he retired. I wish I had some pictures of them. He did 3 or 4, all early 50's 2-door models.

The H.A.M.B. admins knew what they were doing when they established the rules and this is demonstrated by the amazing popularity of this website. Don't muck up these traditional-type threads by straying from their guidelines.
