Come on plowboy, embrass your old school mini truck side. Porsche fuscia, 17" steelies with vintage porsche caps, wink mirror, tilt bed (maybe a dancing rack). and a roof rack with some vintage decks strapped to it.. step to the dark side and have fun with it. just to piss people off.

I'd put a dmp bed on it as a flying finger salute. Tell them it is a work truck.

Nice Ratt i tude, I'm a hair band fan myself, Sirius radio locked on Hair nation.....and Octane.

Proportions are everything on one of these builds. If you don't get it right it's not going to look good.
Plowboy your truck is going to look.

Thanks for the education on the Rudy truck. I did not know what it was until today. I have to agree with everyone here. Yours has the right shape and stance. Thanks

Looks similar to mine! I really dig these trucks, breaks outta the cookie cutter 32 you see lines of at every show. don't get me wrong they are a classic and beautiful but I like the weirdos. Personally not a monster fan of rudys chop but that's ya build it the way you want! mines a 36 hand build frame, and a 315 super power giant hemi. grill is still up in the air, building a flatbed for it with dropped sides and getting a new set of rear mud diggers

I don't think there's anything that can make an old truck look better than to chop the top a little, shorten the box a lot, and lower it. Love the look of your build Plowboy!

Plowboy, it looks like its going to turn out to be another awesome ride. Really makes me wish I could have finished my Chevy that everyone hated on so much even though it was a work in progress and I was learning as I went. Didn't matter what my plans were to them (My vision was pretty much what you've laid out here). Keep up the good work man.

HAHAHA...........Ozzy looks like Mrs. Roper in that picture.

  21. You've got the proportions figured out on this one! It's amazing how fine of a line it is on these trucks between good and bad. Oftentimes, I see them chopped too much, extended too much, the bed is too short, and worst of all, a laid-back-way-too-far tractor grille bolted on the front. You have kept factory parts on yours, with a good eye for placing them all in the right location.

I have always wanted to do one of these trucks, but go with a mid-60s theme. Low like yours, 16x10 Hallibrands in the rear, spindle mounts in the front, shiny black with lots of chrome, and a nasty motor you can hear for miles away. Oh yeah, with a 4-speed. .

Isn't there a bike builder, Ashcroft? He built one similar to what you've described. Gotta think you've seen it...it was at the GNRS a few years back. Here's a sketch of a '40 cab. Proportion is the key, like you said Alex!

  23. epic. your a ruler.

there's nothing wrong with these truck when they are done right. it's just there are so many bad ones it make them all look bad.

the "rudy" truck was the "mexican hooker" truck before dude sold it and the new owners wife made him take the hookers off of the door.
