The Futura came first.I believe the Batmobile was actually made from one of these models.

    Barris built the Batmobile from
this - the original 1958 Ford Futura
concept car, sometime in the mid-'60's,
several years after it had finished it's
time on the auto show circuit. By the
    way...this circa 1958 Ford Futura
concept car is what we're all going to
be driving in the year 2000! At least
those of us who are "traditionalists"
and aren't driving flying cars by
    then!!!!:eek::eek::D

So you actually considered that one of the most iconic TV cars of all time was turned into the Futura? Or was your logic based off which vehicle's styling influenced the other? 'Cuz the first scenario provided a chuckle. Either way the proper answer has been posted. ;)

    My guess is Marie McDonald.

She was the gal Jerry Lewis made bounce down the jet way stairs in the "Geisha Boy".

Actually no, the kid being held at gunpoint by Bogie is Richard Eyer, and is best remembered for his running feud with a goose in "Friendly Persuasion" with Gary Cooper.

But now that ya mention it................

Don't think so. He did not have a mustache nor did he sit still often. He also does not have his traditional hammer at hand. He did drive the bus.

The Warlocks became the Grateful Dead.

Owlsley Stanley made the Kool Aid. Key ingredient at the behest of the US Govt.

Sorry to hear about your neighbor. At least one US president took the same ride and then became Commander-in-Chief. Some rise some fall to get to Terrapin.

WOW!----That 4 blade prop is only 36 inches from the ground!!!!!!!!
Hard to imagine most pilots were only 19-21 years old then.
One question recruiters often asked young enlistees that wanted to be a pilot was: "do you ride a motorcycle"?
If they answered yes, they would be known as risk takers or daredevils!:D
