I'm doing a 63 Chevy truck for a guy and he wants pin ups. I have never done one before and would like to see others to get an idea of how the finished product should look. I think in his mind he sees the girl painted like the Mona Lisa with all of the paint blending for lights and shadows but I see World War II nose art in my mind. This will be done with brush applied One Shot.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Bud.

Here's what I ended up with. I'll let the Hamb be the judge on the looks.

maybe not exactly what you're looking for, but here's my airbrushed pinup on my 40 Ford. My favorite part of the car.

I made the mistake of painting the likeness of my girlfriend on the hood of my truck:

Things with her went south, so had to take care of that "blemish" in my paint:

Awww. Thanks for the kind words. It's cool. I asked for it. I told the guy that I had never done one before now and he still wanted to hand over cash so it is what it is. I did my best and that's all that matters to me. Practice makes perfect. Now let me see your work. < Kiddin.

Faces are a sumbitch! the secret that I was taught in art class, never do a full straight on, or side view, always have that half turn thing. Helps a lot with proportions. Also, the way I do mine when I'm striping one, I find a photo of a gal in the pose I want, then trace the main lines to paper and transfer it to my design. So much easier to get proportions right that way!

You didn't offend me. Your original post made me laugh too. Like I said earlier, I asked for the Hamb to judge knowing it wouldn't be sugar coated. No worries.
