Wow...someone on the hamb that know about Bucks

in the days before mandatory car seats/belts for kids,my 17 yr old mom left me unattended in the passenger seat here while she went in to pay for gas, came out and I was gone, wedged upside down between the seat and the door, she panicked ran back into the store and had to have buck pull me out :)

:D I`m sure that Doc can make any corrections necessary to this post.
RE:B25 commerce destroyers."Invented"by Gen Kennys 5th Airforce in Austrailia.
The75MM gun did`nt last long.It was too hard on the air frames. The eventual setup on the Browning .50`s in the nose mounts was this.8 mounted where the bombardiers position was.2 bolted to each side of the nose. The upper turret was able to be locked in the forward position so that the pilot had control of all 14 forward firing 50`s.The aircraft version of the .50 was capable of 1000 RPM per gun.So if you wanted Hell on Earth.Punch the button on those 14 .50 cals and you had it.There was an instance of some of Kenny`s boys coming on a Jap destroyer and lining up "line astern"on it.The Captain thought skip bomb attack. So he obligingly presented his stern to the B25`s.Lets just say that that Jap can did`nt survive the encounter.YEP.It was sunk by the sheer firepower of the .50`s.Entire 40MM AA gun mounts were blown over the side.
Some reps from NAA came to see the work that "Pappy"Gunn was doing. They were horrified. What about the "CG" they said?"Pappy"is reputed to have said"OH we threw that away to save weight".
    Good luck.Have fun.Be safe.

  19. You missed the fact that my post was in quotes. That's what Howard Hughes always said whenever someone called it the spruce goose. Ever see The Aviator? Sorry that it caused you discomfort.
