I was the high bidder on this cool 34 at a local flat head, but all around rare ford performance guru's estate auction. Its a Florida car steel body, hood, and deck lid, glass fenders + boards. Its un chopped with a filled roof[which I will change]un filled cowl vent ,opening windshield ,mostly orig floors, and all I can see is 2 SMALL patches on each lower quarter at the reveal.Doors open and shut unbelievably .Super nice chassis,4 link rear ,9",orig x member ,I does have a mustang II ft that Im not crazy about but it is nicely done and steers great.[I plan to put an axle under it down the road.As for the drivetrain its a fresh 350/350,W/air. chrome is nice body is nicer.Im going to tear it down this winter for repaint ,un fill the roof and a fresh interior.Heres some pics the day I brought it home and a few after a MINOR cleaning ,removing the ft bumper, and adding my old chrome reverse.Hope you like as I Sure Do.

If you are running out of garage space I'll take the '55 off your hands. Heck, throw the Pan into the deal!!!! I'm not fussy. :)

Wow, looks like a sharp '34! But it sound like you're going to make it even better!

  8. Great looking car. When you said you were going to change the filled-in, but unchopped roof, I thought, oh shit. Glad to hear your only opening it back up. It's got a great roof line.

  9. I'd leave the mustang II stuff in there if it's working right. You could powder coat the A arms black if you wanted to make them less visible or something but on a fendered car, who cares.

That car is too nice to fix what ain't broken.

    Good score!

Wow! My favorite model and year!

  12. looks good. i'm not a big fan of mustang II either , but if it is done right i'd leave it in. maybe add some 2" dropped spindles to get it down in front

i'd also get rid of those painted running boards and put on some rubber covered ones

  13. Yeah, who doesn't like a 33-34, 5 window? Congrats.

  16. Great find and I agree on 36-3window's comment (not my favorite as well) on leaving it as is if it's done right .... thunderbirdesq (sp?) is pretty close to you and has a 34 now for some pointers ....

  23. Congrats! Who doesn't love a '34 5-window, especially one with it's "original" body features? Another vote for putting the insert back in the top. Keep us advised of your progress.
