I was gonna say, I hate it when the back window is cut down, you did an awesome job on that back window. It looks way better. Stellar restyling brother!!!

I have a split front seat, from a '54 Customline (52-54 interchange per Ford Parts Manual) Don't know if you want to make a road trip to Phoenix to get it or not ;) Not sure where "electric city" is so maybe a HAMB relay? Car came out great,I like the stance the way it sits don't think lower would make for good cruisin' in the long run.

Learned it from this guy, you can see a pic of the screws you have to take out on page two of his build here in case you haven't found them yet.

Lookin' Damn Good bro! Definitely Love the Merc Rear Window a lot better than the first one! You gave me a lot of ambition to finish my 53 now. We're gonna have to meet up and go cruisin to a big show next summer, since I'll have my Ol' Reliable V8 in her then! haha Congrats on the award too! Drive the wheels off it!

I to have a split bench out of a 53 Vicky, but I'm still kicking the idea around of running it in my 53 F-100

This winter! Within the next week I'll be pulling it hopefully. Was still drivin it, but now the weather is goin to shit and i can start working on it. One thing leads to another and it adds to the list of stuff i want to do to the car this winter.

  11. wow. I agree with outlaw, I thought you screwed it up, by using 4 doors, but man what a great job you did. it looks sooooooooooo good.. just a wonderful job all around..

LOVE this. Those loooong rear quarters look great - I think the key thing was moving the rear of the roof forward - I think that locked a lot of the visual changes together. Best more door morphing I've seen. No longer a "hide the doors" look, it's become something else entirely with proportions all its own. Killer ride! Very inspiring.

The lack of B-pillars on the hardtop version really helps the proportions, I like it. Did you ever get the seat to flip, or find a split seat?

  15. Look to be 1956 Olds taillights.

Which one of those guys are you? I'm betting it's the second from the right - the one with the "experience".

You've shown some extremely impressive skills, the car actually doesn't look like a four door any longer. At first I kept saying to myself, make it a Crown Vic. From the side the chrome up the door post and over the top, it would have been exceptional. Then the hardtop version...now that's cool. It has a very different but yet classic look. I like it!

    Dave.

i ended up giving the seat a good push and it ended up sliding foreward and those 2 screws fell right out

  21. I like the look! When I posted about welding the rear doors on my '50 most said it would look bad.
