Went to the 'Millers at the Milwaukee Mile' show/run yesterday, and saw this in-restoration Miller Indy car on display. Truly a jaw-dropping display of the apex of speed technology from 80 years ago. V-16, dual OHC, supercharged, 3 Winfields, front wheel drive, plus that overwhelming visual beauty of Miller's machine work.
Absolutely beautiful,,it's amazing the incredible amount of detail that was spent on hand crafting a Miller,,I think I'm in love! HRP
Total information overload just looking at any one of the pics - cannot imagine how amazing that must have been in the flesh!
Hate to 'pick-on' a masterpiece, BUT: Where are the axle-shafts? Yes, to a "Miller-Fanatic" for more tnan 50 years, it DOES matter!
Thanks for posting the photos, that is one top shelf shop doing that project. I noticed that the Gilmore #33 has a new caretaker, hope to get to that meet some day. Bob
I got to see that car at Amelia Isl. but in the morning, contrasty light it was hard to see and photograph. Nice to see it in softer light. Gary
don't now much about Millers but were they really finished to that level?? or is this way 'over-restored'

I wonder the same thing. Does anyone know if this is an original car being restored or a recreation. According to the sign plaque at Amelia, the 1931 V-16 is the "only" V-16 built by Miller.??
Stunning. Thanks to everyone who shared their photographs. I think Miller built other V 16 engines but they were for marine applications.
