I got no shortage of stuff to de-rust Joe ! I wanna play around with it this summer if I can, ive used vinegar for years but as you mentioned it will eat good metal as well...and spring steel, never put that in vinegar either lol!

Thanks eh! Doesn't feel like too much progress I just keep taking more apart !

You know its bad when the wife has to come out to the garage for vinegar :p

    No worries Joe !

The antenna was one of the very first things done when I started patching the front clip ...that and the dash were going to be the ONLY custom work on the planned 4 door beater ! The hood ornament /badge might still happen, not something I can do myself though...I am probably gonna rework another hood like a 42 by removing the center portion but that will be awhile down the road! I love the pearl white too, seeing how I have yet to decide on a color it could happen someday !

Thanks ,my god I must have 3000 pics of this monstrosity but have never tried to put them all together ...right click save image as lol !

I did it with just the one hoist Finn, when I lifted it straight up by the b pillar it actually balanced really well !

Not pic wise , I traded an 80 Malibu bumper for a repairable 55 gas tank last weekend and have been puttering away on that , if it doesn't rain all weekend like they are calling for I will get a few things done this weekend I hope!

    :D

It's always good to see some progress on a project crazier than mine!

Small update....I killed the Mrs camera last month and no internet at home for awhile , but stuff has been moving forward, home made exhaust is done , manifolds repaired, ground ,blasted and painted, diff blasted and painted and new lowering blocks built, and I think I have the driveshaft worked out at $0 , I have to slide the diff ahead abit on the springs (ie new lowering blocks) so as long as there is no body interference that should be solved . Got a bunch of other little stuff done ,blasting and painting parts etc so thing are crawling forward ! I will get some pics up as soon as I can!

Hey Steve, I was just thinking of your car the other day and wondering how it was progressing. I'm guessing you may be driving it this summer?

Keep it up, Steve. Yours is one of the few threads I enjoy revisiting again...and again...and again.

  16. The sub concious mind is a powerful thing.
It will indeed act on something you tell it.

Like me carry my cup of coffee and saying don't spill it.
The mind acts on the last logical statement. eg "spill it"
    And I did ... :mad::eek::D

That's great Joe! I hope to get the body back on the frame by sept ..please tell Fred I still intend to get the 64 in one piece! Too many goodies on it for me to use...if he still has the frame you mentioned I may be interested if things go well over the next couple of weeks...do you think he would sell it as a bare frame or just with the front end?

Thanks! For now the taillights will be motorcycle lights on the rear pan or bumper guards....subject to change though !

Thanks ! Any of you guys on facebook pm me and you can friend me on there I have been putting some pics up there from the phone..

I wish ! My goal is to have it move under its own power by xmas :D

    Thanks!

Thanks Ricky I really appreciate the kind words!!

Haha the worst problem for me is that I seem to be too dumb to listen to that mind!

If you are on facebook pm me ,there are some pics on there...my pc died too but I haven't had time to look at it yet :(
