  1. I am so glad you are happy with it Ray! I'm sure some things will get changed over time and I can't wait to see how it looks when it's race ready. Here are a few more pics for the thread.....

I'm still stunned that this wasn't actually a pick up right from the get go ...

Good luck with it & have fun.

Safe and sound in it's new surroundings.
Thanks to Rays Classics in San Francisco for getting it unscathed to me.

  4. Nice to see it here in Blighty. I really like that tailgate logo.

BTW - the bench in the garage door is a great space saving idea.

A shame it left our country but ... it is what it is ...good luck with it.

  17. You would be truly shocked if you knew how much old iron leaves the USA every month. Sometimes the stuff gets more love overseas than it does at home.

I don't doubt it ... just hate to see them go. I let a HD custom rigid go to Finland that I built a few years back cause the coin was right. Just hate to see them leave - ANYWAY.

I can see why people want your finished products Kewi Kev ... super workmanship. If I had the cash I would have bought it myself!

Just think of it as pay back for all the Anglias,Thames and Austins that came the other way :)

It'll be far better off away from all that California sunshine, just gotta keep it dry.

OK ... no more sun shine on the truck! Good luck with it & enjoy!! Not hating - wish I had the coin to get it myself ... not just to keep it here but cause it's a kick ass ride. Don't blame you one I-otta.

I hope you enjoy the living hell out of the willys pickup. If it wasnt for kevin, those body panels would still be in my back yard doing absolutely nothing.. Bryan...

  23. The mystery is over, make sure and post some track footage when you get it there. I'm also glad to see that you will be racing it as it should be !

Thanks, will update on here once I get stuck into it.
Glad to see your truck went to a good home.

Am enjoying it already just sitting in the garage and can't wait to get out on the track, will be next year though as got some upgrades to do.
Don't think many people would have the vision to do what Kevin did with that pile of parts.

Hope to get some footage of the front wheels in the air sometime in the future.
Love your build thread, I think we have a mutual friend from Canada :D

  25. Thought I would add a few pics since I've collected a few more parts for the orange/purple body.

This is the frame I have, I also have rear frame rails to add and leaf springs.

We muscled the cab into my mini junkyard and sat the body on the frame where it will now sit for many years.

My friend Bryan from Fresno hooked me up with a Chevy PU cab that I could cut the back off of for the future conversion.

He also hooked me up with an N.O.S. pair of fiberglass Willys PU rear fenders.

The magic begins again then Kev. :D
I'll be progressing on the original one soon, would you prefer if it was on another thread?
    Can't wait to get started.

  27. Ray, I hope you will keep it on this thread. Seems like a natural progression.

I'll follow this one to the end too!

    Great re-gifts too - that's a friend.

I dig the reporpose of parts to make these. I have now been more aware of these out my way ... just in case.
