10 years ago, 19 year old me walked into a rinky dink wholesale lot in Abilene Texas and bought a "well worn" '62 Falcon Sedan. At that time, the only thing I knew about cars was how to change my own oil and that I shared my dad's love for traditional hot rods. I taught myself how to work on the old bird through use of a shop manual, the internet , and the "ford falcon performance handbook. Finally, after several years of scrounging for parts, busting my knuckles, and bleeding on her, she is pretty close to what I had envisioned back when I bought her 10 years ago. Here are a couple of pictures showing the car in 2003 and now. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Great Falcon ! Did you know the Falcon Club of America's national convention is in Tulsa Oklahoma next week ?
Congrats!!! 31 years ago in April (22, to be exact) a 17 year old dork pulled a '62 Falcon sport roof Futura out of a backyard in Mesa. It's still with me to this day even after being stolen and recovered 2 times. Love yours always.
