250 in mine. I've been waiting until I get it further along, so I could roll it outside for a better pic, but oh well. Here's a pic of the engine. I have $100 into the engine & tranny so far.

Not a hot rod, per se, but my 1960 Falcon has the 144 it left the factory with. It is going to get a Weber 32/36 and a DUI distributor, backed up by a 4.03 T5, and that is about it. Good enough for 75mph.

Also not a hotrod, per se, but an overhead cam 235, Rochester quadrajet, a 2 spd auto behind it and dual exhaust in a 1966 Pontiac Lemans convertible. Sucks gas sounds good and slow as molasses in Jan.

Color me clueless, I had no idea that dogfight mag was more accepting.

It's more of a swap than a repower.

Nice. Looks like a big 300 with a Cleveland Head on it. Did you see what kind of times it was turning?

That's the Comp Eliminator team of Steve Ambrose and Bob Huettman, the oldest continual competing team in NHRA. Steve made it to the finals. He ran a best of 7.70 seconds. The car is one beautiful engineering masterpiece. I cloned it to make my avatar bracket racer. Sorta.

I thought the title of this thread was "Who has a STRAIGHT 6 in your HotRod?" Seems that anyone that has a straight 6 in anything thinks they've got it in a hot rod. Well, whatever floats your boat I guess. You got a straight 6 in your boat as well?
Don't mind me...just needed to rant about something.

This Model A pickup I built last year had a nice little 235 straight 6 with a s-10 5 speed behind it. Man was it a blast to drive! sold it about 6 weeks ago and wouldn't you know it came out in Ol' Skool rodz this week......go figured. (the pics were shot last year at the redneck rumble)[IMG]

This I like. Where does one find such a head? Is it an import from Australia or some such? Any estimate on power output?

I suspect it's the new casting that's been rumored.

Vintage power, vintage Ford, something like that.

I believe there is more info on Ford6.com (sp?).

Classic Inlines. It's an aluminum copy of the Aussie 250-2V head with some purported improvements. It came with the engine and was previously on a 200 in the builder's Fairlane.

I can't wait to hear it!!

Fairly conservative street grind - a Comp 260H. This is going to be a daily driver with an overdrive, so I'm happy not having to wind it up to the sky to make power.

Holy crap!!! You are building a hot rod and using the semi elliptic suspension instead of going to buggy springs!!! How can this be??? Why does everyone want to swap these out for Henry's idea??? Gotta give you KUDOS for this.
