I recently aquired 1928 Chevy 4 dr parts. Fenders, running boards, Cowl, radiator,
hood, and 4 drs. I am building a woodie. right now I am building the frame and suspension, when it is a rolling chassis I will build the body. I have the 4 doors and am not going to use them. The drivers side drs are pretty good, but the pass sides
were attacked by termites. if someone wants them pm me.

My '31. The top half is still original wood, by the bottom half is now steel tubing.

I've taken a few more pics of my 29 tourer. I know a stainless ifs is not really HAMB friendly but it is the only way I could get the front low enough. It also makes it drive great.

I picked up a 1928 AB Coupe a few days ago for $500. Surprise surprise that the wood is shot but the body panels are in really good shape except for one fender. Plans are to go hiboy with a 331 hemi backed by a A833 4-speed.

That is pretty nice. Are you going to use the Chevy frame?

I like the look of the early chevy bodies the deuce frame but from few pictures I have seen, I think a boxed stock frame with traditional PNJ dropped front axle axle also looks great. I definitely have lots of planning and HAMB searching to do.

  13. Nice find! Good luck with the build. Looking forward to seeing the progress.

You are a "big guy" in my book! That thing is bad ass. "Nothing fell off" That speaks volumes. I want to be like you when I grow up. I'm 68 and some say it won't happen.

Can someone here help me ID this http://imgur.com/a/wgFpO ? the serials read 4641150 , then 348532 , B98 and the Chevrolet logo with 1. , I already made a thread in the Hokey Ass Message Board and Mac the Yankee pointed out that the engine is made in Feb 9, 1928 the problem is with the chassis and radiator since they dont seem to fit the the year , any help in finding out what model it is?

  25. Glad you made it. The car looks great! It's good to have family and friends to help with your projects. Enjoy it!

Mac is right about the engine. B 9 8 = Feb. 9th 1928. The last year of Chevy 4s, for a while. I'm no sure the frame is Chevy. The rear perch on the front spring has three rivets on the side of the frame. The '27 and '29 frames I have used one from the side and two from the bottom. The frame has other holes mine don't have. That firewall doesn't look Chevy to me. After '28 the frames are longer from the rear engine mount to the front crossmember to make up for the 2 new cylinders. Before '25 they used quarter elliptic springs.

Firewall is standard 27 - 28 (29?) chev commercial (see attached pick of my 28 truck) . I agree - the chassis doesn't look like 4 cylinder chev.

Hi, I'm Don. I own a '35 or '36 Chevy tall cab 1.5 ton truck.
    Sheetmetal is better than average.
Currently using strap recycled from flatbed portion to reinforce what's left of wood.
Driver's door has just about pulled off pillar.
I intend to replace the wood in the pillars with metal tube. What is the best way to tackle this in metal?
Also. Has anyone here heard of a man named Ron Wizenant. I probably spelled his last name wrong.
He owned a small fleet of 20s or 30s Chevy cars under construction.
His antique shop was in Dinuba, CA. I think he lived in Sanger, CA.
He passed away a few years ago, I was wondering if anyone here had purchased or taken over his early Chevy cars?
Just like to know they're being looked after. Ron was a nice guy.
    Thanks, I'm subscribed.

So what could that chassis be from? Also on a side note how much is it worth in this state and how much would it cost to restore it ?
