Grassy knoll when? Say Sat, ~1-2pm?

    Marcus...

  3. OK, I normally come in on 694 from the east to Lexington, then down Snelling to the fairgrounds. Is the construction going to affect me, or will I be east of it?

We got stuck in the storm tonight and a vendors awning modified my new paint. Good times.

that's too bad, which car were you driving?
i just beat the rain going home on my side windowless (temporally) wagon and found the a 1/8" oil line on my 235 had broke at the compression fitting, getting oil all over fresh paint. fortunately it is all under the hood. looks like rain until 9 or 10 today.
update/correction 3/16", 19 cent part at ace hardware plus a quart of oil and all is good.

1964 Impala. One long deep dented gouge down to the metal. And about 20 nicks down to the primer. It was just a garage paint job so not a huge deal but disappointing.

bobw, know any details on the '40 "ute" you posted? That is one hell of a nice car!!

  24. It really rained Thursday and Friday night. We were in the South Campground and it was very windy and lots of rain. It dried up pretty fast though. It kept some people and cars away. It was way easier to find spots to park this year.:D I had a friend register Friday afternoon and he was 11870 or so.

  25. looked at knoll no people there:p
registration sucked slightly car worked crappy on Friday:(
drove duramax on sat and bought a trailer:D 30 ft alum enclosed w ramp over wheels, race deck and ton of small trinkets that I lost in shop
lots of people had car problems on the interstate
and traffic problems too like a tank of fuel to go 10 miles
went home early today and there was a real nice car show on the interstate others must of been disgruntled or give up;)
wonder how much it will cost the club to fix the torn up turf at the fairgrounds???

There was a lot of water and wind but it did not get hit as bad as the west metro. Still 100,000 people without power according to the evening news. Lots and lots of big trees and power lines down all over the place. We were in St Paul from Thursday afternoon until Saturday pm and didn't see that much carnage fist hand, but I know there are areas hard hit. Friends in the campgrounds on the fairgrounds had to move cars and campers to higher ground and saw cars with water up to the door handles.
It stormed at night but during the day it was pretty nice overall. The last official number of cars I heard was 12,033. Someone must have pictures of what the fairgrounds was like after the rain. Here are a few of mine from the weekend.
