Best of luck w/ the 3 window parts car. Lots of talent to fix that one. I've fixed a few, but not like yours. If your countrymen can design 200 mph supercars, guess you, a few pals, & some vino can fix that one.

I don't know what to do with the grille insert. It's an original one, but some bars are a little warped and not perfectly straight. What's the best thing to do, changing the bars, leaving everything alone or installing a new insert. My idea is keeping the original insert without touchin it....
    Waiting for suggestions

Had to drag this one up.
I thought my 40 build was crazy but this one takes the cake.
    Well done!

I am totally amazed with what you've done to that .... car. I would have never guessed ANYONE would be able to bring that back to life.

You Sir .... are 1 of a kind. Great build. Just finished the 19 page transformation.

Now at a standstill....the men who is preparing the car for paint has disappeared.... seems to be on Holiday...hope he comes back soon to finish work.
In the meantime, work on the 283 is going on, by end next week should be ready. Machine shop had a problem on the overbore..so THEY are correcting with new sleeves and I ordered new std pistons.
Am waiting for 48 backing plates to arrive, in order to install the Buick drums.
As for the grille, guess will order a new insert from Dale and hang the original one in my dining room....

Thats because you live in Europe where there is two weeks vacation every month, my son lives in Germany, I don't know how anything gets done. I applaud your efforts because i live near where the car came from and looked at it many times as we all agreed it was to far gone. But not for you!

Ha Ha, you've saved a more or less scrap body and you're not sure how to deal with the insert :)

I think that with the rest or what you've done, the car deserves the original insert - shouldn't take you very long to smarten it up! All the repro inserts I've seen are stainless, although I suppose they can be painted.

On the other hand, I guess you've earned the right to do what you like with it.
