The truck and Joe deserve every bit of that award. It's a damn fine truck, and the owner ain't so bad;)

I'm looking forward to viewing those Super 8's, we'll have to set something up with Alison's projector.

Congrats again Joe, hope you're enjoying the weather with your wife and F-100.

Everyone who showed up to help, take pictures and hang out was a class act. I've known a few "clubs" started by people I called friends and they have a lot to learn from the Road Devils.

First real time out of the driveway in a long time and it got an AWARD? How cool is that? Seriously, I enjoyed helping, well, watching others work on the truck. It was a fine day for me to discover Alameda!

That's not the update I was looking for when I saw this thread. Sad. R.I.P.

Yes, Joe died Wednesday at Alameda hospital. I only new him for a short while, but his friendship was monumental. He'll be missed, but I am glad his suffering is over.

On a better note, he did get to enjoy the truck, him and his wife even got their Christmas tree with it.

Rest easy Joe. Roll on brother.

I just read the entire thread, I started hoping the last post wasn't headed in this direction...

Bless you guys for helping a brother out.

Thoughts and prayers to Joe's family.

Damn, any word of a service or did I miss it?

Strangely enough I was threatening my daughter with Joes line of "APPLE SLICES!!!" on Wednesday when she was getting way out of hand. She musta knew there was a disturbance in the force.

    Nicely put...

    Roll on Joe.

I'll post on here when I find out about services, I haven't heard much from his wife since Wednesday.

All I can say is that I visited with him a week ago at Stanford medical center and he wanted all of you to know that he was truly thankful for every thing we did. He loved driving the truck. We were planning a last cruise at the base, unfortunately it did not happen. I think the thought of it put a big smile on his face though.

The truck will be returning to it's former glory thanks to his uncle in Ozark, Mo.

His screen name fit like a T. Big heart and lots of humor even in such dire circumstance.

I opened this thread expecting an update and instead... sadness. My condolences to friends and family. Last time I felt like this was HAMBandy.

Rest in peace, Joe. A true hot rodder.

    Thank you for helping Ed.

I really wish I could have taken Joe on his last cruise like we talked in the hospital, breaks my heart. But I know the thought of it gave him some joy, along with a wonderful loving wife who was beside him all the way through.

    Godspeed Joe, roll on.

I'm bummed that I missed the memorial today, was planing on showing up ~10A.M. but got sidetracked and the next thing I knew it was 1:30P.M.

Brujo29 Thanks for helping Winnie with the truck.

FWIW I took a few Guinness and Bodddington over to Tim's last weekend and we had several toasts to Joe. I left feeling pretty good afterwards:p:D

The weather was perfect for cruising and saying good bye.

The size of Joe's heart is matched only by his wife's...
