  5. I believe that's Al Dixions beast out of Windsor Ontario......one of the original "Street Kleener C.C." members. The car has been found and Al is restoring it.

    Great picture!

  6. Here are a couple pictures of the two Pontiacs that my deceased friend Mike Sarniak oned in the mid 70s. I wish that I could have either of them right now as the left a lasting impression on me as a young man.

I gotta admit, those GTO freaks are badassed.

A friend had one in high school in the early 80s. This was in Daly City, outside of San Francisco. Was a straight axle, vertical headlight GTO. It had "Snowman" lettered on the side and we figured it must've run at Half Moon Bay or Baylands.

Don't remember it ever running let alone him driving it. It was always parked on the street and we always poked fun at it with the old "Bet it handles like crap", "Man they ruined that car", "You'll never get that driving".

Boy, I didn't know shit. I'd give my left nut for it today. Damn.

Nice, but we don't need the thread getting shut down for posting later model stuff.

Our '51 Henry- J Gasser is just about there. After years of Drag Racing AAG Willys Coupe we've decided to have some real fun with a Street Legal Crower Injected Henry- J. "Not EFI" It's real Mech Injection, and very streetable.... Install the fenders & hood and it's done.

Not necessarily a street freak, but I've always liked how wicked a '57 looks without the front bumper.

This is an old Greatful Dead photo

    Anybody know about this car?

I used to see this car, or a clone, at the NSRA Knoxville meet every year for a while in the early '90's. Painted a solid medium gold/bronze sort of color, same stance, headers, and tilt hood & fenders, different mags, though. Painted on the lower front fenders was 327cid and ( I think) C/GS, maybe D/GS.

Guy would pull up with the wife and kids in it like heading to a picnic in the park. :D

Way cooler than all the other Chevy sedans painted pink or sea-foam green at the time.

    Later, Kinky6

Nice, but too new for the HAMB. Remember, pre '65 only! Otherwise this thread may get shut down.

    Thanks, Kinky6

Can't tell you anything about the car, but I took that picture at the '73 Nationals in Tulsa.

I'll play. built in the 80's and drove everyday. my only car. drove it it rain, sleet, hail and snow. hell i should have got a job at the post office! whenever it snowed, people in there little econoboxes, would follow behind me as my axle would plow the snow and my tires would remove the snow down to the pavement. it rode so good. had a '55 ford truck axle on 2 model a front springs. had power steering and power brakes. five miniutes in the car and you forgot what it looked like. loved that car. destroyed it towing a flatbed trailer with a scrap car on it and it broke the tongue and the trailer swung around bent the body all to hell!!. got it in a trade for a '66 chevy. been looking for one ever since. man are they pricey now!
