  1. That's my dumb brother for ya...

  2. What´s up with him? Sure seems to have got the hump about something.

  3. Haven't spoken to him in a while. He gets a bit touchy sometimes...

  4. Single floating bar would look good on that

i was thinking that. i have the factory center bar that goes on there. tossing around the idea of molding that whole surround to the fenders/hood (Hirohata style) and then just having the chrome center bar.

  6. Australia was colonized by the english, we received a lot of english vehicles through the 50s and 60s. So far in my search the mk2s are 7000 -20000. I haven't had a good look at mk1s.
But I have seen a couple of mk2s sitting in a paddock for the last couple of years near my home town, they're available and probably easier to get hold of than a mk1

Two-tone green, wire wheels, subtle chop; done.

I kinda like the "Oldsmobile" version myself, seems to flow real well with the grill surround.

  13. I am a Pommie. :D

Well, if they´re just sitting there... it´d be rude not to go and get them I feel.
Look forward to the build thread.

  15. Yeah, I have to agree it edges my decision that way too.

  16. I'm feeling lazy today, so I fooled around with PS.

That truck pic was dark and lightening it up made it look crappy, so I adjusted the truck and background appropriately.
Almost could say you were there (remember, I said "almost").

I'd like to know what happened, his last few posts on a thread about deleting your account seemed not like him as far as I could tell... I hate to see him go as I learned a lot from him. :(

  21. Hope he´ll be back sometime. It´s pretty easy to get burned out doing this stuff though. I pick and choose when something inspires me nowadays, to avoid the problem. It´s meant to be fun for us too, right?

JAMES D, Thanks for spending the time to photo shop our car and giving us inspiration. We are currently out in the shed laying out and spraying up test panels .
Please ignore the losers who decry your efforts.

I see these are mostly photo-shopped photographs. Will the program work on high quality illustrations?

  25. It´ll work on anything you can scan in.

    Hello,
Man, there's alot of Talent here! Wish I could do it, but it is awsome that you guys use your talent and time help us that can't.
I posted a thread about my 1960 Olds 4dr Sedan and I've been trying to imagine how it would look wit a Watson style paintjob with scallops etc. Blue maincolor would be the choice of color since the interior is blue. Also the wheels might be changed. Either supremes, rocket strikes or the wheelcovers that came optional on these and for sure widewhiteswalls. And ofcourse lowerd.
Had this been a 2dr ht boubletop it would have been easy but sice it's a 4dr post it's hard to see it would look good with a different paintjob. It might just look weird?

I would really apreciate any kind of help or tips.

    Good job and thanks alot!

I pick and choose now too, I find the one that come in and make demands really turns me off, or the ones that ignore what you've worked hard on and keep asking for the same thing to be done... but every now and then when someone says or shows you they are using your idea, that makes my day!

Thank you for your reply. I have illustrations of my 60 thunderbird project but I am really stuck on colors. I may dive into this just to give me some direction. Thanks again.
