Went Friday, late morning - weather was PERFECT! Lot's of great gassers going through the time trials, '60s & 70's music on the PA system - really took me back to the last time I was at Thompson in the '70s Got to meet Candy Clark & get an autographed picture - she was really nice Only thing that would have been better was if I brought my '57 up & ran it - maybe in the fall I have to say that while I loved all the cars, BlewByYou was the hairiest that I saw - I think it was a small block too
ME.GASSER - your cars and the other Willys were really cool, and were some of my favorites I was only there for Friday's time trials, but didn't see you run your cars What car did Freddy Bear run? Thanks for coming to Ohio & sharing
Told the wife I would regret not making the trip. I've seen the rains. Glad to hear Fred has the willys up and running
I'm not sure what he ran in the final but the first run he ran a 5:60. I have to be truthful I was really nervous on his first run since the crash but I should have known better. That Freddy Bear is my hero.
Had a great time. Made plenty of runs in two days. Then a stop a Quinns in Austinburg on the way home for a fabulous steak dinner.

SEE... I KNEW IT WAS ME BRINGING THE RAIN, FOR THE SAKE OF SAVING A GREAT EVENT I WILL STAY AWAY....WHAT EVENT DO YOU HATE? I WILL GO JUST TO MAKE IT RAIN. Maybe a disguise would work? Glad it was nice weather
Made the trip from Buffalo on Saturday. Was a great time! Maybe next year I'll be able to bring a car to race! Good seeing everyone again.
Was a great show, but seemed like the car count was down some from last year.....maybe the weather scared some people off? Anyone know why they only ran 1/8 mile? I didn't know if it was because it was kind of windy or ??
heres a few of the shots i got have to shrink them down to get them on here so might take awhile. Will try to work on some more tomorrow, I have 700 shot to go through.
(Scott Rods Anglia body) and was it light! Saw the front clip blowing across the parking lot!!! Nice looking body!
The complete body only ways 70 pounds,We are going to have to fill some sand bags to help hold'em down. The wind was the only part of the show I did not care for,
That body looks nice Scott, another quality item to build a gasser with. Could have done without the downpour Friday afternoon too.
I had planned on coming up on Saturday, but the rain scared me away. Im glad you guys got it in, sorry I missed it.........
